Great point, Mara!
I've been thinking about this lately while grocery shopping, too-- the small food cooperatives, health food stores, and even farmers' markets are in dire need of our dollar. And it's a way not only to invest in our communities, but in the quality of foods we put into our bodies, which contributes so much to how we think, feel, and move through our days. Thanks for your post!
